Adults Jiu-Jitsu Belt Program

Beginner Class
The beauty of Jiu Jitsu stems from the fact that it truly is for everyone. To practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu it doesn’t matter if the person is young, old, fit, etc. This martial art is effective in helping you achieve fitness by giving you a workout in which all the muscles are active. The beginners class at Soca BJJ teaches the fundamental techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a safe manner. Drills reinforce those techniques and love sparring put those techniques to the test. All in a nurturing environment in which all team members help each other and the instruction is top notch.

Adults Advanced Class

Advanced Class
After mastering the basic techniques, and having achieved a good level of proficiency in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the beginner level, the Adult class takes it a step further by learning more techniques and self defense moves. The progression is natural and based upon a carefully crafted curriculum developed by Master Alexandre Soca.


Once the student has mastered the basic techniques in the gi at the begginer level, the No Gi Submission Grappling Class introduces the students to the variation of Jiu Jitsu without the gi. Students must wear the No Gi uniform which consists of an academy rash guard, academy grappling shorts and/or spats.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu Belt Program

Kids Beginner Class
The purpose of this class is to teach our youngest Soca BJJ members the beauty and practicality of learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In this class, kids learn the basics of Jiu Jitsu in a safe and fun environment. Along with BJJ techniques, they also learn respect, solidarity and team work. Kids of every age can benefit greatly from this beautiful martial art.

Kids Advanced Class
Bullying is a huge problem in the United States and the best shield against this growing trend is assertiveness and confidence. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a perfect tool to combat bullying. Our children’s Jiu Jitsu program teaches our young students confidence and respect. Knowing how to defend themselves against attackers is the essence of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and our kids learn to respect each other and to help their friends if they need help. In this class kids will learn basic techniques that get reinforced by drills until they perfect them and be able to apply them in a safe sparring environment.

Soca BJJ Striking Classes

Adult Program
Muay Thai is an excellent style of Martial Arts for self defense. Different techniques for striking with punches, elbows, knees and kicks are incorporated as well as clinching techniques for closer combat.

At SOCA BJJ, Rancho Bernardo, it is an excellent compliment to the Jiu Jitsu taught. Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu together are very effective together since you can be comfortable while defending yourself standing with Muay Thai and on the ground with Jiu Jitsu.

Soca BJJ is a friendly family oriented gym. All levels are welcome from absolutely no experience to advanced.

Kids Program
SOCA BJJ is a complete Striking Classes program that includes a progressive rank system consisting of fitness, traditional Thai technical training and self-defense. Classes are for students 5 -12 years of age. This program will provide your child with:
